Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Alvi’s journey began at the University of Minnesota, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering before realizing that he wanted more than technical precision--he wanted human connection. Dentistry gave him the perfect balance of science, creativity, and care. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the same institution and has continued to deepen his expertise through advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Today, Dr. Alvi serves as the clinical director of multiple dental practices across Central Texas. He mentors young dentists and leads with integrity, compassion, and excellence. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, continuously expanding his knowledge to deliver the highest standard of care to his patients.
What is Your Philosophy as a Dentist?
Built on a strong foundation of family-first care, Killeen Choice Dental reflects what matters most to Dr. Alvi: connection, kindness, and doing right by every patient. He is especially passionate about giving back to the community and regularly provides free dental care to those in need, believing that no one should be denied the dignity of a healthy smile.
Dr. Alvi finds it natural to connect with and serve patients from diverse backgrounds. Whether he’s treating a child’s first cavity or restoring an adult’s smile, he takes the time to listen, explain, and ensure every patient feels genuinely cared for.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Alvi is a devoted husband to his wife, Ayesha (also a dental professional), and a proud father to two boys. He enjoys staying active by playing sports and finds creative expression in baking desserts, a passion that (like dentistry) requires precision, patience, and love. He and his family are also avid travelers, always seeking new cultures, foods, and experiences together.
